Day 63

This morning we went into the city center and first visited the small cathedral at the main plaza. It was a really simple and small church without many statues or things of gold. After that, we walked around the small market and went from souvenir shop to souvinir shop to find a postcard. After entering about 15 shops we finally found what we needed. We sat down in a nice café, got ourselves an ice cream and wrote our cards. When we were finished, we paid a visit to the old city wall and its gate. We then continued towards the post office and went back to the hostel. Here, we changed into swimsuits and went on our way to the beach. The weather was a little less warm than the day before, and the water for sure too. So, we just lied down on the beach while more and more clouds filled the sky. As we were leaving later in the afternoon, it suddenly started to rain. We ran back to the hostel through the rain, but it rained so hard and so much that we were fully soaked, and so was our stuff. It rained with thunder and lightning for the rest of the day and so we had enough time to already pack our bags and sleep early.
