Day 5

This morning, we took the metro to Wall Street, where we got ourselves a drink at Starbucks and a bagel at a street vender, so we could have breakfast at Tiffany's. Right across the street from Tiffanny's was the Federal Hall, which is where we went to next. After this, we walked the Brooklyn Bridge and looked at the view from Brooklyn over New York City. On the left side of the bridge, we could see the Statue of Liberty, the One World Observatory, and a big part of the financial district of New York. On the right side, we had a view over the Manhattan Bridge and we could see the Chrysler Building in the distance. After a short visit in Brooklyn, we made our way to Chinatown and walked past Little Italy. Though it felt like part of the New York experience, there was not much to see there. Subsequently, we went back into the big city to go and see the Flatiron Building. Initially we passed the building without realizing it, because from the front, it looks just like any other building. However, when we turned the corner, we saw that the building was only two meters in width, which was very remarkable. We walked on towards the Vessel, which looked like a huge beehive, and climbed it all the way to the top. Our last stop was on our way back to the AirBnb, where we went by the New York Rangers arena at Madison Square Garden.
