Copacabana

Bolivia, Copacabana

Day 35

This moring, a taxi took us to the busstation at 6am where we took the bus from Perú to Bolivia. After about three hours of driving, we arrived at the border. The view from the Peruvian side was amazing, as we could look over the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca. Once through the Peruvian border control, we consequently walked towards Bolivia, where we also had to go through the border security. And then I was officially in my 27th country. It felt so incredibly amazing. Half an hour after crossing the border, we arrived in Copacabana. After installing ourselves in our hostel, we went into the city. We first visited the Plaza de Armas of Copacabana. As we had not really eaten anything yet, we had a late lunch at a Mexican place. Then, we walked down the streets towards Lake Titicaca at the Bolivian side. We actually wanted to see the sunset from the mountain close to our hostel, but as we stayed in the city too late, the sun had already gone under. So instead, we booked our next bus and hostel, as well as the tour for tomorrow and then had a chill night in the hostel.
