Day 48

Today, we planned on going to Cafayette, which meant that we had to wake up at six, have breakfast and then get into a minivan. The drive was about five hours and along the way we made a few stops. We stopped at beautiful viewpoints, looking over mountains and rivers, we stopped at important symbolical places, like the three crosses viewpoint, and many other beautiful places. We arrived in Cafayette city at around noon and had two hours to explore the small city. As there was not much to see and do in the city, we decided to drink a beer on a terrace, together with three others. After that, we walked towards Cafayette's church where we were picked up with the minivan. We drove for a little while and then made a stop at Vasija Secreta wine farm. We got a tour in their small brewery and afterwards got to taste some of their wines. Even though I am not very keen on drinking wine, the white wine we got to taste was actually pretty nice. After the wine tasting we went back into the van, on our way to Salta again. On our way we again made a few stops at some beautiful sights, one of them being a natural amphitheatre. Very impressive and special to see. Once arrived in Salta, we had dinner around the corner of our hostel with live music.
