Buenos Aires

Argentinië, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

Day 59

Every Sunday, Buenos Aires has a market, Feria de San Telmo. So, we took the bus in the direction of La Boca, and after around 40 minutes arrived in San Telmo. We walked around the market and looked at all the handcrafted materials people were selling. There were even people dancing the Tango on the market. We walked through the streets of San Telmo and afterwards walked towards Harbor Puerto Madero. We walked alongside the water and eventually sat down in Starbucks to rest a little. Afterwards we spent some more time walking around the river and harbor. We were a long way from our hostel, but as it was a sunday, there was no place to get money, and no way to recharge our subway card. Consequently, we had to walk for nearly two hours to get back to our hostel. When we got back to the hostel, someone we had met earlier left us 500 Argentinian Pesos since he was heading back home. We rested for a little and again cooked dinner in the hostel. In the afternoon we walked to La Catedral Club to do a Tango course, because we finally had some cash. The tango course was quite a disaster because it was so hard to do so, but we had lots of fun trying. So, after one and a half hour of trying really hard but not succeeding, we walked back to the hostel and went straight to bed.
