Day 18
This morning we enjoyed the free breakfast of our hostel. There were eggs, bagels, fruit, yoghurt, and much more. After breakfast, we walked towards the Transamerica pyramid and the Salesforce tower, the second highest- and the highest building in San Francisco, and then continued our way, past the Dragon gate, towards Union Square. From Union Square, a bus took us to the Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge was absolutely impressive and beautiful to look at. After enjoying the view, we walked all the way to the other side of the bridge, and back. I kind of underestimated the length of the bridge, and thus it took way longer than expected. But hey, once in a lifetime experience. Once returned to the starting point, we took the bus in the direction of the Golden Gate Park, which is weirdly enough not close to the bridge. The park was not really beautiful and kind of dissapointing, so we moved on towards Lombard Street. This street is known to be the the “crookedest street in the world”. Even though the hairpin turns are only best seen from above, it was nice to see it once. Back at the hostel, we had a free taco dinner which was absolutely delicious. After setting the alarm at 5:30am for the next morning, it was time for bed.
