Day 62

Uruguay, my 30th country! We arrived yesterday in the night at the hostel and funny enough ran into an American guy we had met in the Buenos Aires' walking tour. We briefly caught up, but as the sleeping in the hostel if Buenos aires had been really bad, we went to bed early. The next morning we had breakfast with our roommates, a man from Ecuador, and a woman from Colombia. After breakfast, the four of us decided to go into the city. We walked around the small town and then walked towards the lighthouse. Here, we met up with our other roommate, a guy from the United States, and walked all the way up. The view from above was amazing and so beautiful. We stayed up there for quite some time and eventually had to go down because it was closing for siësta. We went back to the hostel, changed into our swimwear and then left for the beach. We got a beer for on our way and drank the rest of the bottle on the beach. The five of us went swimming in the river and baked in the sun. We stayed there the whole afternoon and then made our way back to the hostel. We dropped off all our stuff and then got take-away dinner from a local place. Ana, Adam, and us ate the food in the hostel. Afterwards, Adam left for the bus station and we went with him to get our bustickets for in a few days. On the way back, we bought a beer and walked towards the water. We met up with Mitch and Ana and watched the sunset. It was so breathtaking and by far the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. We drank the beer together and when the sun set, we walked back to the hostel. I won a bet from Mitch and so I got another beer. We drank beer in the hostel, played cardgames, and talked to others in the hostel. When we finished our beer, we went out and the four of us ate empanadas and ice cream. Once back at the hostel, I played some games of table tennis and then finally went to bed.
