Day 58
It was raining very hard when we woke up this morning. After breakfast we walked towards Avenida Santa Fe and got on the subway. We rode until Recoleta cemetery, which we already saw a few days before. It was still raining, but not as heavily as it was before, and so we went into the cemetery. Here, all the important and wealthy people of Buenos Aires' past have their own small 'temple' where they are buried in. We first went to Sarmiento's grave, which wasn't a typical grave, but rather a monument dedicated to himself. We walked by a grave of a man who saved up his whole life just so he could have a grave in this cemetery. At last we went to the place Evita Perron was buried. Everything in the cemetery was very impressive to see, but also kind of creepy, and so we decided it was time to leave. We visited a mall and of course went right into the book store. Afterwards, we visited a church and then took the metro to the other side of the city where the law faculty is located. In the evening we cooked ourselves a meal in the hostel again. We tried to go for a Tango lesson this night, but we did not have any cash and so we walked an hour without any luck.
