Day 50
We started off this day by packing our backpacks. It was still raining outside, but as our bus only left at 3 pm we wanted to do something before getting on the bus. So, after packing, we went into the city center and visited Museo de Arqueologica de Alta Montana de Salta. It was a very small museum with not a lot of interesting things, however a highlight of this museum was a big one. Namely, the museum had a sacrified, mummified inca child which was very well preserved. It was so very special to see. After the museum, we had a quick lunch and then took the bus to the stopover place Santiago del Estero.Salta's highlights:
