Day 49

This morning, the first thing we did was send all of our postcards away (which were a lot by this time). The line was very long, so after we had sent them away it was already time for lunch. We ate empanadas at a restaurant on the main square and afterwards continued our way to the other side of the city. On this side, we walked through the markets and decided to take the cable car up the mountain. At the endstation of Teleférico San Bernardo, there was a viewpoint where we could look over the whole city. Unfortunately the sky was very gray, which made the view only a little less beautiful. After walking around for some time we took the cable cars down. When we exited the station, it was raining outside, just when we wanted to make our way to the afternoon tour. We walked some blocks, still optimistic about the weather, but after some time the rain started to pour down and we had to shelter from the rain. We had an ice cream in a small café and when it didn't stop raining, we decided to go back to the hostel.
