Day 24
This is already my second time in Los Angeles and since I could not go to the Griffith Observatory last time I went, I was very thrilled to go there now. We took the bus up the hill and walked around the observatory for a while. It was very nicely decorated on the inside and we got to take a look at the telescopes. The view over the city from the top of the observatory was also very much worth seeing. From here on out we planned to walk up the Hollywood Hills to get a closer look at the Hollywood Sign. We walked in the hills for quite some kilometers, yet in the wrong direction, and so after two hours we decided to visit the closest viewing point and look at the sign from there. The views along the way were very nice, and even though it was a little too hot to hike, it was worth it. After the hike, we made our way to downtown Los Angeles, because Isabel was getting tattood there. After the tattooing, which turned out very nicely, we went to The Last Bookstore. It is a really iconic bookstore, very cheap (which is not that good when your backpack is already way too full), and it also has an area upstairs with art, music, and other little shops. At last, we went to have a real authentic American dinner at Wendy's.
