New York

Verenigde Staten, New York

Day 2

Because of the time difference between New York and The Netherlands I woke up at 3am, wide awake. Eventually, after waking up every half hour, I decided to get up at 6am and to go into New York City early. We walked all the way down Broadway to Times Square, and though it looked nothing like what you see in the movies, it was very impressive nonetheless. Because of World Peace Day, a big podium was set up for multiple speakers and singers to perform something. We continued our way to Radio City Music Hall and then found ourselves inside the Rockefeller Center. Right outside Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral is located, which is where we went to next. The inside of the cathedral was beautiful with a central altar and stunning stained glass. On our way to find lunch, we accidentally ended up in Grand Central Station, where a salesman tried his best to get a picture with me, the "game of thrones lady". We then left for Bryant park and, on the way there, made a stop at the New York Public Library. In the afternoon, right before heading home, we got to take a look at the Empire State Building, which was extraordinary. On our way back to the appartment, we made a quick stop at Target (dream coming true), and then returned to Jersey City.
