Sunday it was time to leave Gili Trawangan and welcome Lombok!!! The atmosphere is very different in comparison with the Gili's. It is less touristic, which I really like.
After me and Charlotte arrived in Lombok we went to the White Rose Guesthouse in Senggigi. Bob (the owner) gave us a very nice welcome. It's a lovely place with great service.
In the evening Bob gave us a scooter so we could explore the area. We went to the beach and we noticed that there were only local people. They were really looking at us and waved. Some people actually wanted to take a picture with us. That was very sweet and like I said before, the indonesian people are fantastic. After visiting the beach we went for a 1 hour Balinese full body massage, perfect.
Tuesday:
Today we got up at 8.00 and we hit the road to the Tiu Kelep Waterfall. We went with the scooter again and the way to the waterfall was amazing. We got pretty offroad and I was wondering we didnt get a flat tire here. We saw alot of local villages. Again, the people were so friendly! They were waving at us and screaming helllooooooo.
After a 2 hour drive we arrived at the entrance, we decided to use a guide. There were 2 waterfalls. We had to hike a little bit there and after a while we came to the first one: Tiu Kelep. The waterfall was so beautifull! Water falling down from 80m. I tried to stand under it, but the power of it was insane.
After some pictures we started walking to the other one. This one was a little bit more hidden in the jungle. Once we arrived there it was unbelievable, it was like in a fairytale 😍this is what I love about nature, it's fascinating. Just green everywhere and water coming through several openings. Down at the bottom you could swim, which was really refreshing after such a day.
After we enjoyed the fresh water it was time to head back to Senggigi again. We watched a beautifull sunset on the scooter.
It was almost completely dark and then something bad happened. While driving into a curve suddenly I lose control and was like: what the fuck!! We had a flat tire. Im glad we didnt crash with the scooter. Buy what now? It was dark and we were not in a village. We waited till someone passed by. After 1 minute already, a local is willing to help us out and in 20 min we had a new tire for 15 euro's . We payed way to much, but hey, we didn't really had a choice.
After this adventure we went for a foot massage and ate some nice pasta at a restaurant. Really needed some calories because tomorrow I'm climbing Mount Rinjani. 3 days 2 nights. I'M EXCITED!!!🙌
