Saturday night we landed at Zürich airport at 22:00. We collected our bagage and headed to the arrival gate because Nicole's family was going to pick us up. When we walked into the arrival hall I saw Nicole's family, but.. also.. my family!! My parents and sister surprised us and gave us a warm welcome back. After drinking some champagne it was time to head off to our appartment in Küssnacht.
There was a second surprise waiting for us there when we arrived. Nicole's sister decorated our front door and already put some stuff in our appartment😊 My family also brought food and other things with them. We are happy to have people like this around us!
In the following days we spend time with our families and headed up our home mountain: Mt. Rigi. We had lovely weather and also took the boat to Luzern.
on Tuesday I said goodbye to my family and headed off to Luzern, nr 1 of the 4 Job interviews I had this day. The job interviews all went pretty well and it was time for me to think what kind of work I really wanted to do and where.
The next day we went to Ikea and tried to get all the things we want in our appartment.
30 March
Because my family was visiting us, we didn't have alot time for our appartment. On Thursday I already left again to head off to Lukas, one of my best friends in Zurich. Unfortunately Nicole had to do alot by herself to get the appartment ready😷
It was a great evening, seeing my best friends in Switzerland again. I slept at Lukas's place and the next day we had breakfast at Google, where he works.
In the afternoon I flew to Holland to surprise my sister for her birthday (yes we only saw each other 3 days ago😂). When I arrived in Amsterdam I first headed off to Utrecht, to visit Tim. I know him from my previous study and it's always good seeing him. We ate a bunch of spareribs and drank some beers. When we wanted to go to his appartment by bus, something special happened. I wanted to buy a ticket for the bus, but because it was so crowded the bus driver said: ah don't worry just sit down quickly okay. So I didnt pay for the bus drive. I can't imagine things like this to happen in Switzerland. I enjoyed the friendly and spontaneous people in Holland.
The next day I got my tattoo reworked in Nijmegen. This took more time then expected and I arrived at my parents place just around dinner time. My sister was also there and she was very surprised to see me😃 My mom cooked one of my favourite dishes: chicken tandoori.
I was staying 8 days in Holland and spend most off the time to hook up with old friends and family. On Saturday I visited Anniek with my best friend Herman. We partied the night away in Groningen and it was just like a few years ago, true friendship 😊
We celebrated my sister's birthday the day after in a Chinese restaurant. Thus day I also got a phone call from a Time Out Physiotherapy and they offered me a Job, awesome! It's in the same town as where me and Nicole are living and they offer really good physiotherapy. I was hoping for this job because here is where I can develop myself into a better physiotherapist👌
The next days I spend more time with people that mean alot to me and I also visited my grandma again. Well not my real grandma, but an old patient of mine that I know from my internship. I always kept in touch with her and she writes letters to me in Switzerland. We had lunch together in the elderly home she lives and chatted about everything. I like to talk to elderly people, they have so much life experience.

After 8 days In Holland it was time to go back to Switzerland. I had a strange feeling in Holland this time. I noticed I start to appreciate the things more over there. People are very spontaneous and I was just so happy to hook up with my friends again.. My parents gave me so many things this week and I can't thank them enough for it ♡
So it was time for my 30th and last flight, back to Switzerland, the real finish line of this trip.
I was nervous as always and hoping nothing bad would happen. The last weeks I have a strange feeling. It feels like I'm on a train that is just going and going.. I just came back from Peru, was in Switzerland for a few days, looking for a job and having a new appartment. Now I was in Holland a week, visiting a lot of people... Now it's time for the train to stop.
I'm looking forward to settle down again in Switzerland and get used to the area where I will live and work in. I will start working again in May and I'm really looking forward to it. But untill then I will first start sporting again and slowly roll back into "normal" life, where I will try to make the most out of it ☺
