Verenigde Staten, Panguitch

Lekker aan de picknickbank ontbijt gemaakt in het zonnetje. Ik had een wandeling uitgezocht om Bryce Canyon in te wandelen. Stijl naar beneden en dus ook weer stijl omhoog. Na gisteren vinden we het even goed geweest, dus met de auto naar 3 uitzichtpunten aan de rim, lunch gehaald bij de Subway, Stan omgetoverd tot cowboy Bill (zie foto) en door naar Page via alweer prachtige wegen. Dit wordt al de 3e staat die we aandoen. Begonnen in Nevada, toen naar Utah en Page ligt nèt in Arizona. Dit betekent gek genoeg ook al 2x tijdsverschil. Tussen Nevada en Utah gaat de klok 1 uur vooruit. Tussen Utah en Arizona weer 1 uur terug. Morgen verlaten we Arizona weer richting Zion. Dus verliezen we weer een uur 🙁🙁. Snappen jullie het nog ?? 🤔🤔

Het schijnt 38 graden daar te zijn in Page, dus de bestemming is Lake Powell. We slaan de 1e weg af waar we het meer kunnen zien. Wat een goeie keuze. Werkelijk weer een unieke plek met heerlijk lekker water en rotsen om vanaf te springen. De jetski's en motorbootjes crossen het meer over. De trailers, campers en pick up trucks, worden tot aan de waterkant gereden. BBQ erbij, partytent en een hele familie heeft hier een super dag. Net als ons. Je hoeft alleen maar te zitten en naar het 360° vieuw te kijken. Foto's worden uiteraard gemaakt, maar die brengen niet over wat we hier ervaren. We hebben er een hele middag geluierd en genieten volop. Nu liggen we in heerlijke bedden in een luxe hotel, vers gedouched en glimmend van de after sun, want de zon heeft z'n werk goed gedaan vandaag. 👺👺😋😋.
Morgen : Horseshoe Bend, Lower Antilope Canyon en Zion !!

You got some great shots today. It was 104° today at our house. We had BBQ and some swimming with friends and family today. The house is just now cooling down. That guy of yours looks pretty good in that hat. Looks like you have a great day lined up for tomorrow, enjoy

Sunday, July 08, 2018, Panguitch, United States Tasty breakfast at the picnic bench in the sun. I had chosen a walk to walk into Bryce Canyon. Style down and thus also style up. After yesterday we thought it was just as good, so by car to 3 viewpoints on the rim, lunch at the Subway, Stan turned into a cowboy Bill (see photo) and on to Page through already beautiful roads. This is already the third state we are doing. Started in Nevada, then Utah and Page is located in Arizona. Strangely enough this also means 2x time difference. Between Nevada and Utah the clock is 1 hour ahead. Another hour back between Utah and Arizona. Tomorrow we will leave Arizona again towards Zion. So we lose another hour 🙁🙁. Do you still understand? 🤔🤔 It seems to be 38 degrees in Page, so the destination is Lake Powell. We take the first road where we can see the lake. What a good choice. Really a unique place with wonderful water and rocks to jump from. The jet skis and motor boats cross the lake. The trailers, campers and pick-up trucks are driven to the water's edge. BBQ there, party tent and a whole family has a great day here. Just like us. You just have to sit and look at the 360 ° view. Photographs are of course made, but they do not convey what we experience here. We have a lazy afternoon and enjoy it. Now we are lying in comfortable beds in a luxury hotel, freshly showered and shiny from the after sun, because the sun has done its job well today. . Tomorrow: Horseshoe Bend, Lower Antelope Canyon and Zion !!

Zion Park is third park in USA mostly attended. It is bloody crowd there! We arrived at 9:00 AM on June 20, 2018, and there was not even one parking space there. We parked in the city and there is running free shuttle to get you to the park. Inside you need to use Park shuttle ( there is 9 stops), you can hop on shuttle on and off. Waiting at the morning is about 1 hour to get to the shuttle, later is OK, no problem to use it. Don't forget to see the Weeping Wall. You can also drive to the third shuttle stop and then drive to the east entrance to the park- beautiful ride to the top of mountains and 1,1 mile tunnel with the windows and then the Checkered Mesa. You can drive it both ways, up and down, it is a thrill drive! Inside Park crowd is not so bad and the Park is spectacular! Have fun and leave very early to Zion Park!
