First month of a New 2016

Australië, Cobargo

Hello beautiful people,
It's been a while since my last report, but I'm still alive & enjoying yoga :-)
After a very (!) lovely 2,5 weeks-holiday-stay in The Netherlands (sorry for the ones I didn't meet in Dec, I'm sure we'll catch up later this year!) I went back to Singapore and arrived there on the 1st of Jan 2016. I stayed again with my parents for 2 weeks, taught a couple of Bikram-classes in 2 studio's, visited Dev Kapil (yoga world-champion 2009) and practiced his classes, and of course again..... ate A LOT (I guess that's unavoidable in Singapore ...haha). I had nice catch-ups with my friends there & enjoyed my family-time with my parents.
Before Christmas, Amrei, studio-owner in Cobargo (NSW), asked me if I could watch her studio a couple of times during my next stay in Aussie as she is going to give some seminars/workshops in other cities of the country. The first time is right NOW...
I left Singapore on the 16th of Jan and arrived in Melbourne on 17 Jan. I was supposed to stay 1 day in Melbourne because the train/bus connection to Cobargo (10 hours!!) was scheduled too early to be able to make the whole journey in 1 day. However, it was a very great opportunity to meet some friends again in Melbourne. My dear friend, John, picked me up from the Airport and I could stay with him for 1 day. He lives nearby the better yoga-studio (!) where I've taught last time, he's one of the students. So we went together for a morningclass and I've met the lovely studio-owner again and 2 of my awesome training-buddies (BY-teachers Pooja & Joel). After class John took Pooja, Joel & me to a very beautiful & special place for lunch, called Montsalvat. It is Australia's oldest artists' community where all sorts of art is made, exhibited and celebrated. A beautiful place to have a nice walk after a lovely lunch in the garden, and enjoy a.o. its unique buildings, paintings & sculptures. It was a great day with memorable moments of sharing experiences about life & yoga. Days like these you'll never forget ;-) Thank you!
The day after I Ieft Melbourne again and began my 10-hours journey all the way up to beautiful Cobargo. I had to take a train (4 hours) and right-after a bus (6 hours), but it went very smoothly and I slept most of the time. When I arrived around 5pm, Amrei was welcoming me with the best pineapple-coconut-mint smoothie ever and my mentor and I were re-united again :-) such a great moment!
I spend a couple of days with her & her dear family, enjoyed her classes and felt totally home again. And still am, of course, only now I'm on my own. Very exciting, but until now it's pretty easy. The studio is not so big and perfectly manageable by myself. It is still a bit of holiday-season (Summer) here, so classes are not packed (sometimes only 3 people!!)
I am enjoying my quiet moments now and have lot's of time for myself. Besides teaching 2 classes a day, I can use the studio & practice whenever I want. I can use the car and drive to the beach or other nice places, I can study & read as Amrei has very interesting books, I can think a lot, I can work on my businessplan, I can meditate and be still.... But most of all, I can learn to have peace in the NOW, constantly. Of course, everybody knows this is the best way to live, but sometimes it's so hard because often you're living in the past or in the future. Lately, I'm living too much in the future, worry-ing about it and all unnecessary stuff... So this is just perfect, taking life as it is and live every day for real and being aware of it all....
Haha... which reminds me that it's my birthday in 2 days.... First, I didn't mind being here on my own on my birthday (it's just another year wiser ;) But now I think of it, I am actually very happy that my mother is coming tomorrow-night to visit me and celebrate my birthday on Thursday!! She didn't want me to be alone on my bday (so sweet!) and she will stay here with me till the 8th of Feb when Amrei comes back. And actually, my father is coming as well on the 4th of Feb! So we'll have a small family-holiday again (miss you Daphie!!) and have planned to make a roadtrip to Melbourne and visit Tasmania for 1,5 week! Now that's an awesome birthday-present :) I feel really blessed with such lovely parents, Love You!
Soon, there's almost no excuse for them not doing yoga... hihi.... Let's see if I can get them both in the HOT-room practicing my class together :-) would be awesome!
So that's it for now I guess. I'm all good, enjoying life, learning, thinking, experiencing... and I hope you too!! Wishing you all the best, still, for this new year & share more with you next time again!
Love Xx Lina

Hi Lina, Here is your uncle speaking. Yeah, good to know that you are enjoying life. That's what it's all about! I am sure, that you will always be surrounded by good friends, but having your parents with you on your birthday is something special while being on the other side of the world. To bad your sister cannot be with you, but we'll try to have fun as well; first thing is moving her to earlier place and "celebrate" her "come back". Nice regards from your aunty Eileen, have lots of fun! Tex.
