BALI.....time to find some peace, eat delicious food & discover other styles of yoga

Indonesië, Bali

Selamat hari dear ones!
Terima Kasih everybody for reading my previous journal and sharing your thoughts!
Sooooooo, finally arrived on Bali and feels so good to be back again. Last visit was in March/April this year with my ex-boyfriend... how sad, right after our first holiday together, we broke up (just before Teacher Training).... Guess that's what holidays are for.... To really get to know the person and experience if you can survive the intensity of each other, or differently, discover if you're really comfortable being together while staying yourself. My lovestory is another chapter of my life, but mainpoint is I started free, single, happy, no attachments, fully focussed on my dream-journey and here I am again, on this beautiful island under the sun, Bali! The reason of being here is because I've met the previous studio-owner of Jiwa-yogastudio during my last holiday when practicing. She was so kind to introduce me to the new owner (she was selling her place while I was at Teacher Training), so after I graduated I arranged my spot to work & live on Bali for 6,5 weeks!
The first week I felt nothing more than being blessed to be at the exact place I want to be at that moment (especially after my Philippines-trip). I had perfect accommodation, sharing a Villa-house with another teacher, my OWN bedroom&bathroom, beautiful garden with small swimmingpool, my own scoopy (uhh yes, I was wearing helmut for the ones who knew about my scooter-accident right before going on holiday with my parents in Feb).
I stayed in Seminyak, one of the most fancy & crowded places of Bali. Here's also where the yoga-studio is located. Driving in Seminyak (or wherever in Bali) is really crazy. But it's way faster than walking (& less hot) and also much faster than by car (so much traffic jam). So after a few days I was used to it (thanks to my scooter experience in A'dam). The yoga-studio was only a 5min scooter-ride away from my peaceful accommodation behind the rice-fields. The studio-owner was a really nice man originally from NZ, and was always like a father for me. The girls working behind the reception were always friendly and helpful. The other teachers became my friends (some more close than others) and also some students ended up to close friends of mine as well:) Wauw, amazing time, and only in 6,5 weeks....! I went out with friends, did some Salsa dancing, watched beautiful sunsets, and enjoyed actually every day of my stay. I absolutely Love Bali, there's something magic about the Island and the atmosphere can be so peaceful and mindfullness. I tried different styles of yoga as well as in the studio I worked for as in other famous yoga-spots as Desa Seni, Yoga Barn, Radiantly Alive: a.o. yin yoga, healing sound medicine, kundalini yoga, vinyasa flow yoga, chi gong yoga, fligh high yoga (anti-gravity yoga) .... so much more to explore here! I lived so close to the beach which was really cool, beautiful sunsets(!!), but I also love the beautiful surrounding and fairy-tail spirit of Ubud with lots of old trees and green rice-fields. Amazing & breath-taking views! Only driving on your scooter in between these surroundings can be so meditative and liberate by itself. And the food.... "O My God" .... so much places to get so delicious foods/drinks/shakes/ice-creams/sweets.... I gained at least 5 kilo of all this deliciousness.... But OK...., I just enjoyed my time, was accompanied with really nice people all the time and didn't worried about a thing ;) Life was so easy. I was planning to learn some Bahasa (after all I am half Indonesian), but I didn't manage in that. Socializing was most of the time with international people and maybe time was too short to really put effort on learning a language. (haha, I was just making too much fun I guess) I left Bali with a really good feeling, that I might come back next year...? Let's see, who knows what's waiting next. First I will have a pit-stop back in Singapore again for a few days, before I start my Australian-adventure for the coming 2 months ;) I've met some awesome Australian people on Bali and perhaps some of them I will visit again so they can show me around in their city/country... How sweet and kind!
I will be back in the Netherlands between 15-31 Dec for sure!! But I've decided my journey is not done yet....so after a 2-week holiday in Dec (as I am working so hard), my journey will continue again :)
For now, Loads of Love & goodluck to you All! (hopefully catch up with you in Dec!) Xx
Down to the land of Ozzz.....
