Ik word opgehaald vanuit het hotel en wordt naar de haven gebracht al waren we direct opstappen op een boot. We varen langs een vissersdorp die op het water leven waar we later nog aan voorbijgaan. Allereerst gaan we naar hal long Bay en stappen daarover in een kano en Spaanse vrouw vraagt of dat ik met haar wil kanoën. Ze zegt ik kan dit niet zo goed ik dacht ik weet niet of ik dit goed kan maar ik ben sportief aangelegd dus vol vertrouwen stap ik achter in de kano, waar de sterkste persoon moet zitten. Al snel blijkt dat we een goed team zijn en merk ik weer hoe fijn het is dat ik Spaans spreek en een gesprekje kan voeren met haar. We gaan richting een grot alwaar we met de kano doorheen varen daar is een baai waar we rond kanoën om de mooie uitzichten te bewonderen en daarna kanoën we weer terug naar de boot. We krijgen een heerlijke lunch en maken er contact met een stel die in Amerika wonen. zij komt uit Indonesië en hij komt uit Vietnam. Bijzondere gesprekken weer. Ha Long Bai Was voorheen een plek waar ze vanuit Vietnam vluchtten naar meer veilige gebieden. Het eiland Cat Ba heeft niet veel meegekregen van de oorlog in Vietnam. Er is wel een ziekenhuis gebouwd in een grot toentertijd om de mensen te behandelen. Het hele eiland is een National Park wat op de Unesco world Haritage lijst staat sinds 2004.

Prachtig natuur, regenwoud, Adembenemend, ik Fiets dan ook op m’n gemak terug naar de boot vanuit het dorpje wat we bezocht hebben en maar onderweg nog een paar mooie foto’s en video’s. Daarna gaan we naar een andere plek waar we kunnen zwemmen. Ik maak een duik vanaf de boot in het water en vind en Indiase vrouw die dat wel wil filmen. Helaas gaan zij niet het water in, want zij hebben nooit zwemles gehad. cat Ba eiland bestaat uit 367 eilanden.

Daarna varen we naar het vissersdorp en bewonderen we hoe zij daar leven op het water. Indrukwekkend om te zien.


I am picked up from the hotel and taken to the harbour, although we were immediately on a boat. We sail past a fishing village that lives on the water, which we will pass later. It soon turns out that we are a good team and I notice again how nice it is that I speak Spanish and can have a conversation with her. We go towards a cave where we canoe through, there is a bay where we canoe around to admire the beautiful views and then we canoe back to the boat. We get a delicious lunch and make contact with a couple who live in America. She is from Indonesia and he is from Vietnam. Special conversations again. Ha Long Bai used to be a place where people fled from Vietnam to safer areas. The island of Cat Ba did not experience much of the war in Vietnam. A hospital was built in a cave at the time to treat the people. The entire island is a National Park that has been on the Unesco world Heritage list since 2004.

Beautiful nature, rainforest, Breathtaking, I cycle back to the boat from the village we visited at my leisure and take a few more beautiful photos and videos on the way. Then we go to another place where we can swim. I take a dive from the boat into the water and find an Indian woman who wants to film it. Unfortunately they do not go into the water, because they have never had swimming lessons. Cat Ba island consists of 367 islands.

Then we sail to the fishing village and admire how they live there on the water. Impressive to see.


Me recogen en el hotel y me llevan al puerto, aunque inmediatamente debíamos embarcar en un barco. Navegamos pasando por un pueblo de pescadores que vive sobre el agua, por el que pasaremos más tarde. Primero vamos a la bahía de Hal Long y nos subimos a una canoa allí y una mujer española me pregunta si quiero ir en canoa con ella. Ella dice que no soy muy bueno en esto, pensé que no sabía si podría hacerlo bien, pero soy atlético y lleno de confianza me subí a la parte trasera de la canoa, donde debería sentarse la persona más fuerte. Pronto se hace evidente que somos un buen equipo y vuelvo a notar lo agradable que es poder hablar español y poder tener una conversación con ella. Nos dirigimos hacia una cueva por donde navegamos en canoa, hay una bahía por donde navegamos en canoa para admirar las hermosas vistas y luego regresamos en canoa al bote. Disfrutamos de un delicioso almuerzo y hacemos contacto con una pareja que vive en Estados Unidos. Ella es de Indonesia y él es de Vietnam. Conversaciones especiales nuevamente. Ha Long Bai solía ser un lugar donde la gente huía de Vietnam a zonas más seguras. La isla de Cat Ba no sufrió gran parte de la guerra de Vietnam. En aquella época se construyó un hospital en una cueva para tratar a la gente. Toda la isla es un Parque Nacional inscrito en la Lista del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO desde 2004.

Hermosa naturaleza, selva tropical, impresionante, regreso en bicicleta al bote a mi propio ritmo desde el pueblo que visitamos y tomo algunas fotos y videos más hermosos en el camino. Luego vamos a otro lugar donde podemos nadar. Me sumerjo desde el barco en el agua y encuentro una mujer india que está dispuesta a filmarlo. Desgraciadamente, no entran al agua porque nunca han tenido clases de natación. La isla de Cat Ba consta de 367 islas.

Luego navegamos hasta el pueblo de pescadores y admiramos cómo viven allí en el agua. Impresionante de ver.
