It's my second day without any distance, in Belfort. It was sort of cold this morning (sleeping in the valley and next to a lake again), and I first did some laundry and planning. I had to go to Decathlon, for which I needed to catch the train to Montbéliard, and I wanted to finally put some logs online, for which I needed either the library or the BIJ (Belfort information jeunesse). Those have somewhat limited opening hours, and there are no trains to Montbéliard between 8.45 and 11.36. It was 8.30 when I looked it up, so no going to Decathlon in the morning. In the end, I went back to the hostel and actually got all my money back (I decided last night, after paying for 2 nights at the hostel, to leave and go to the campsite after all - log will follow), then went to the train station. 15 minutes to Montbéliard, then some walking to Decathlon, which didn't even sell everything I wanted, but wasn't an entire waste of time. As I had time to spare before catching the only train back that was a viable option, I did some shopping at the hypermarché across the road, then walked back to the train station. Back in Belfort, I went to the BIJ, and spent some 3 hours sitting at a pc writing logs. Damn, they take a long time! But all this walking through cities that just aren't very nice or beautiful makes me feel I can't wait to get back on the road and out of the cities. I'll go back to enjoying being in cities when I'm done walking for now.

The campsite and the lake are called Étang des Forges, which constantly reminds me of the song Les Filles des Forges, about a girl who goes to confession because she's kissed pretty boys. The preacher says that for penitence they have to embrace, to which she says "I don't embrace preachers, but pretty boys".
I once again bought too much food (I really have to stop doing that, especially now that I'm back in an area with enough shops), but again, after lunch tomorrow it'll be okay weight-wise. Time to clean up and get everything into the tent, then hopefully sleep well and leave early tomorrow. I think I've recovered enough and I want to get back on the road.
