We hadden vanochtend alle tijd om onze koffers 🧳 in te pakken, alle elektronica op te laden en de spullen die we nog over hadden aan Frank en Lisa te geven. Glen en wij twee vliegen ✈️ vandaag terug, de rest blijft nog een week. Om 10:00 uur hadden we onze Corona tests, die gelukkig negatief 👎 waren. De checkout was om 12:00 uur. In “on the bay”, het restaurantje van ons hotel namen we afscheid van ons reisgezelschap met een laatste drankje 🍹🍸.

De taxi 🚕 pikte ons op om 13:30 uur en we waren ruim op tijd om in te checken voor onze vlucht en zelfs tijd om nog een beetje te shoppen 🛍. Op de terugreis hadden we nog een tussenstop in Trinidad en Tobago 🇹🇹 waardoor de terugreis nog langer dan de heenreis zou duren. In “Port of Spain” moesten we ook nog van het toestel af en opnieuw door de security check 👮‍♀️ voordat we weer aan boord konden gaan. Dat was slecht georganiseerd.

Toch voelde het alsof de terugreis sneller ging dan de heenreis, omdat we ‘s nachts vlogen en ik ook enkele uurtjes heb kunnen slapen 💤💤. Op dinsdag 15 maart landden we mooi op tijd, rond 10:15 uur stapten we uit en waren we weer op Nederlandse grond. Home sweet home.


This morning we had plenty of time to pack our suitcases 🧳, charge all the electronics and give Frank and Lisa all the things we had left over. Glen and the two of us fly ✈️ back today, the rest stay for another week. At 10:00 pm we had our Corona tests, which were fortunately negative 👎. Checkout was at 12:00 PM. In "on the bay", the restaurant of our hotel we said goodbye to our travel group with a last drink 🍹🍸.

The taxi 🚕 picked us up at 1:30 PM and we were in plenty of time to check in for our flight and even time to do a little shopping 🛍. On the return journey we had a stopover in Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 so the return journey would take even longer than the outward journey. In “Port of Spain” we had to get off the aircraft and go through the security check again 👮‍♀️ before we could get back on board. That was poorly organised.

Still, it felt like the return trip went faster than the outward trip, because we flew at night and I was also able to sleep for a few hours 💤💤. On Tuesday 15th. March we landed on time, around 10:15 am we landed and we were back on Dutch soil. Home sweet home.
