Vandaag gaan Lee en ik een excursie de doen die heet “ontdek Zuid-Bulgarije” dus dat belooft wat. Eerst met de bus 🚍 en dan staan een stadswandeling, een boottocht ⚓️, een Bulgaarse lunch en ook een sprookjespaleis 🏰 op het menu vandaag.

Megan, Kevin, Kayley en Luke gaan vandaag naar het Action Aquapark om lekker te glijden en waterfun 💦 te beleven.

We mochten de beste plek in de bus uitkiezen omdat we de eersten waren (om 07:50)⏰. De eerste stop -nadat de bus was volgeladen met Nederlanders en Duitsers- is Sozopol, ongeveer 70 km rijden. In de bus krijgen we veel informatie over Bulgarije 🇧🇬. We rijden door Burgas, de belangrijkste haven en handelsplaats van Bulgarije. Er wonen maar 7 miljoen mensen in het land wat 3 keer zo groot is als Nederland 🇳🇱. Burgas is de 4e stad qua inwoneraantal.

In Sozopol aangekomen, gingen we meteen aan boord van het piratenschip 🏴‍☠️ voor een mooi vaartochtje van bijna een uur. Daarna leidde onze gids ons door het schiereiland en vertelde van alles over de historie, architectuur 🏛 en andere wetenswaardigheden over Sozopol. Na de stadswandeling kwamen we bij het restaurant voor een typische Bulgaarse lunch van 4 gangen 🍽. We hadden nog wat tijd voor we weer verder gingen dus zochten we een mooi plekje op met uitzicht op zee. Daarna bracht de bus ons naar het sprookjeskasteel (Ravadinovo) 🏰 waar we rondliepen in het mooi gemaakte kasteel en de tuinen 🪴. Al met al een mooi dagje uit.

De kinderen hadden zich ook goed vermaakt in het Aquapark.

In de avond had ik bedacht eens een keer gebruik te maken van het bad 🛁 in onze suite. De kids hebben een kamer met douche maar wij hebben de luxe van een bad. Het is overigens wel super fijn dat we met z’n zessen 3 badkamers ter beschikking hebben!

Voor ons een relaxte avond in onze suite. Megan en Kevin waren naar de apotheek geweest omdat Megan helaas nog steeds erg veel last had van haar buik en rug. Voor hen werd het een rustige spelletjesavond 🃏in plaats van te gaan clubben, wat eigenlijk op de agenda stond.

Today Lee and me are doing an excursion called “discover Southern-Bulgaria” so we are in for a treat. First we take a coachtrip 🚍 and then a city walk, a boat trip ⚓️, a Bulgarian lunch and also a fairy tale castle 🏰 are on today’s menu.

Megan, Kevin, Kayley and Luke will be going to the Action Aquapark today to enjoy the water slides 💦.

We got to pick out the best seats on the bus as we were the first ones on (at 07:50)⏰. The first stop -after having loaded up the coach with Dutch and Germans- is Sozopol, a 70 km drive approximately. We received a lot of information on Bulgaria 🇧🇬. We drove through Burgas, the most important harbor and trading place of Bulgaria. Only 7 million people are living in the country and the size is 3 times bigger than the Netherlands 🇳🇱. Burgas is the 4th city when it comes to inhabitants.

After arriving in Sozopol, we went straight on board the pirate ship 🏴‍☠️ for a lovely boat trip of almost one hour. Our guide then led us around the peninsula and told us a lot about the history, architecture 🏛 and lots of other facts about Sozopol. After the city walk we came to a restaurant where we were served a typical Bulgarian 4 course lunch 🍽. We had some free time to enjoy before we had to move on so we found ourselves a fabulous spot with a nice sea view. Then the bus took us to a fairy tale castle (Ravadinovo) 🏰 where we walked around and inside the beautiful building and gardens 🪴. All in all a lovely day out.

The kids had a good time at the Aquapark today as well.

In the evening I decided to enjoy our bath 🛁 in our suite. The kids have a room with a shower but we have the luxury of a bath. It is by the way great to have 3 bathrooms available for the six of us!

We had a relaxing evening in our suite. Megan and Kevin had been to the pharmacy because Megan is unfortunately stil suffering with belly and back ache. Their evening turned into a quiet games night 🃏 instead of going clubbing which was supposed to be on their agenda.
