Het regent dat het giet dus met m’n regenjas aan door de regen naar het ophaal punt. Het is zo’n 24 graden. De gids haalt me op met z’n scooter en daarna stap ik over naar de bus. We rijden zo’n twee uur en komen aan bij een boeddhistische tempel, waar het grootse Buddha beeld van Vietnam te zien is. Het is de Bai Dinh pagoda complex. We wandelen er een uur rond en bezichtigen de tempels. De pagodes zie je van veraf en zijn heilig voor de Vietnamezen hier ligt nl de as van Buddha. Het is een andere Buddha als die van Thailand en het grootste verschil is dat de Vietnamezen wel vlees en vis eten. De dieren die bij dit geloof horen zijn: de draak, de adelaar, de tijger en de sneeuwleeuw.

Naast de Buddha binnen staan 2 grote Fenixen , deze ben ik al eerder tegen gekomen in mijn meditaties. Ze staat voor het doden van het ego en herrijzen van jezelf.

De Buddha van Vietnam is 2600 jaar geleden geboren. Het grote bronzen beeld is 10 meter hoog en 100 ton zwaar.
In een tempel vindt je een bel van maar liefst 26 ton kilo. Indrukwekkend weer en daarna gaan we lekker lunchen, het eten is echt fenomenaal hier.
We vervolgen onze trip naar Trang An waar we met een traditionele sampan de rivier op gaan en door de mystieke kalkstenen grotten varen en daarna gaan we naar de Hang Mua grot in de Tam Coc vallei en klimmen we naar boven om van het uitzicht te genieten.


It is pouring rain so I walk through the rain with my raincoat on to the pick-up point. It is about 24 degrees. The guide picks me up with his scooter and then I transfer to the bus. We drive for about two hours and arrive at a Buddhist temple, where the largest Buddha statue of Vietnam can be seen. It is the Bai Dinh pagoda complex. We walk around for an hour and visit the temples. You can see the pagodas from far away and they are sacred to the Vietnamese, because this is where the ashes of Buddha lie. It is a different Buddha than the one in Thailand and the biggest difference is that the Vietnamese do eat meat and fish. The animals that belong to this belief are: the dragon, the eagle, the tiger and the snow lion.

Next to the Buddha inside are 2 large Phoenixes, I have come across these before in my meditations. They represent killing the ego and resurrecting yourself. We walk through the corridors where more than 500 Buddha statues are located

We continue our trip to Trang An where we go on the river with a traditional sampan and sail through the mystical limestone caves and then we go to the Hang Mua cave in the Tam Coc valley and climb up to enjoy the view.


Llueve a cántaros, así que camino bajo la lluvia con mi impermeable puesto hasta el punto de recogida. Hace unos 24 grados. El guía me recoge con su scooter y luego me traslado al autobús. Junto al Buda en el interior hay dos grandes Fénix, que he encontrado antes en mis meditaciones. Ella representa matar el ego y resucitarte a ti mismo.
Recorremos los pasillos donde se encuentran más de 500 estatuas de Buda.

En un templo encontrarás una campana que pesa nada menos que 26 toneladas. Un clima impresionante y luego tenemos un buen almuerzo, la comida es realmente fenomenal aquí.
Continuamos nuestro viaje a Trang An, donde tomamos un sampan tradicional por el río y navegamos a través de las místicas cuevas de piedra caliza y luego vamos a la cueva Hang Mua en el valle de Tam Coc y subimos para disfrutar de la vista.
